Philadelphia Presbytery, one of 67 regional units of the Presbyterian Church in America, was organized in 1980. It consists of the churches and teaching elders in Philadelphia, Glenside, and Upper Darby. Having grown to thirty-one churches and mission churches while also forming or helping to form three additional presbyteries: New Jersey, Susquehanna Valley, and Heritage, in 2006 it ceded many of its churches to two more new presbyteries - Eastern Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Metro West. The Presbytery focuses on reaching out to the city through vigorous church planting.
We share the PCA's unqualified commitment to the Scriptures, the Reformed Faith, and the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
